equalityauctionThis event's first, most important goal is to help some very important causes at this very important time. It also has a secondary goal of participants retaining as much control over their information as possible.
We had no idea the event would be as big as it is, for which we are grateful. We also had no idea that an unofficial spreadsheet of participant information would be created and circulated without our immediate knowledge, which we received upset comments about.
One of the reasons we chose to keep the event as solely on Dreamwidth as possible is to cut off any harassment as quickly as possible. The other reason is the aforementioned participant control. Mods do not receive emails from this community, aside from the Questions post. Once donations are confirmed, participants may delete donation receipts. No copies are being kept anywhere, just a line on a list that will be destroyed in the future as well.
